Found Termites?

STOP! Do not disturb the damaged area and do not spray!

Spraying them with a basic inspect spray will only cause them to disperse, encouraging them to find other parts of your home to cause damage. This makes finding and treating them so much more difficult. For us to effectively eradicate the nest, we need professionally treat any active termites to carry the chemical back to the nest.

Our Termite Management Process

  1. Initial Treatment | Upon confirming acceptance of our termite treatment quote, we start getting your property protected. We dust existing termite activity and nest areas with Termidor dust (not arsenic) to stop the current infestation in it’s tracks. A follow-up inspection is conducted 7 to 14 days later to check on the affect of the initial treatment and to confirm all termite activity has ceased.
  2. Perimeter Treatment | Next-up is to install a perimeter termite treatment or termite barrier. Chances are, this is why there has been an infestation in the first place. Either no or an out-of-date termite barrier are the most common reasons why people get termites in their property. Another reason can be untreated home or building extensions or renovations.

A termite barrier requires the drilling of 10 mm holes spaced every 20 cm around your property. We then inject 2 litres of a termite treatment chemical in each hole. These holes are then sealed. Soil areas are then trenched to 8 cm below the top of the footings then are flooded and back-filled, then soil sprayed once again.

Termite treatments may vary according to building type and any problem areas that may exist.
  3. Payment | Only required when the job is complete
  4. Regular Inspections | We suggest at least an annual termite inspection be scheduled to pick up any new activity in your home or yard that could cause an issue and to top up any areas of your barrier treatment that may have been compromised due to yard works, renovations or flooding.

3 Reasons To Get Your Termite Barrier “Topped Up”

The chemicals responsible for keeping “the bugs at bay” are prone to washing-away during really heavy rain and flood events leaving your home vulnerable to attack.

In areas where there’s a lot of construction going on, there’s earth and vegetation being moved around which can stir up nearby termite nests. Ensure your home is up to date with its termite barriers so your home isn’t considered as viable accommodation.

Recent extensions or new structures built on your property are not automatically covered by existing termite barriers. This includes new timber fences, sheds, patios, that extra room added last Summer or any interior renovations including kitchens and bathrooms.
